You have victory in Christ!  This means that you have victory not in your self but because of Christ’s redemptive work on the cross.  Your success in life has already been achieved in Christ, but you need to take it by faith.

If you’re not living a victorious life, the Word is not at work in your life.  It’s time to put effort into helping God help you.  Christians don’t always realize that we have to put forth an effort to partner with God.  He can’t force us to do anything, including studying His Word–but we need to everyday, by meditating on His Word and practicing it.

I’ve handpicked the following scripture for meditation.  The Word is alive and it will come alive in your heart by speaking affirmations you create from the scriptures you learn.  This will bring you continued growth.

Victory In Christ Bible Verses For Living God’s Love

At the center of our success in Christ is God’s love.  We need to learn how God loves us to know how to love ourselves and each other.  I started with 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 when I began studying the Word.

I already had young children by that time and my performance as a parent concerning patience and understanding didn’t always measure up to God’s Word so I took time each day to confess these verses and meditate upon them while picturing myself using them on my family.

I did improve, but my greatest changes came when I separated myself from persons from my childhood environment who had the same characteristics but didn’t see them as a problem.  This took me away from my worst behaviors which had been nurtured in me from my childhood.  Make no mistake, I don’t blame anyone for my negative attitudes, I was responsible as a Christian, wife and mother to fix myself.

I also taught it to my children so that they could know God’s love over the imperfections of my love and all human love.   As Christians we’re responsible to live our salvation by transforming our minds to the Word of God (Romans 12:2).  Children are never to young to learn or to get the Word in them.

1 Corinthians 13:1-13  (ESV)
God’s Love

13 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, I gain nothing.

4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;[b] 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Victory In Christ Bible Verses For God’s Love

As New Testament Christians we have two commandments to live by.  If we honor those, then we’ll live Godly lives by following the Word.  Loving God with all our hearts is the first commandment.  It will lead us to the Word and living it fully.  Loving our neighbors, the second commandment, as ourselves will cause us to share God’s love with others and keep God’s peace.

Matthew 22:37-39 (ESV)   37. And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.  38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

1 John 4:9-11 (ESV)  9. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

We’re Instructed To Love Our Enemies…

Luke 6:35 (ESV)  35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.

Luke 6:28 (ESV)  28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.

One of my favorite pastors taught me about Luke 6:28 when he visited our family to talk and get to know us better.  I told him about a problem I was having with people who wanted to harass me for no reason and make our lives difficult. He said that I should pray for them and ask God to bless them. He said that I should love them rather than see them as my enemies.

This man was so filled with God’s love that I believed his Words even before I read the first.  I did just as he said and life changed for me that moment.  That was over 30 years ago.  Now I share this information with others.  I taught it to my children as well.  When someone comes against them, they can remain in peace and look to God to bless them.

Keep God’s love in the middle of whatever you do, and you’ll always have victory and remain in peace and joy.

Reinforcement For God’s Love…

Romans 12:9 (ESV) 9. Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.

Keep your love sincere and based upon God’s Word.  It’s easy sometimes to let the world slip into our love and when that happens, we begin to base love on emotion.  True love comes from the heart and remains constant.  Genuine love causes others to love us in spite of any mistakes or sins.

1 Peter 4:8 (ESV)  8. Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.

We Are Bonded With God…

Romans 8:37-39 (ESV)  37. No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39. nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

There is nothing that can separate us from God’s love.  It’s deep and ever present, but we must take it by faith until it becomes a reality in our daily living.  God’s love pushes us upward to become a conqueror over all that may come against us.  All evil is below our feet.

God’s Love Reaches Out To Everyone…

This lesson ends with the reassurance that God’s love is for everyone!  God’s Kingdom doesn’t reflect the world system where one must be wealthy and famous to be somebody.  God looks at the heart and reaches out to all mankind rich or poor, educated and non-educated, famous or unknown.

God’s love greatly blesses us to be courageous because it casts out fear and it promotes or exalts us as we wait upon Him.  If you’re ever afraid, confess 1 John 4:18-19 and thank God for His love taking away your fear.  My family has done this for so many years when we’ve gone through trials or began to worry about someone who wouldn’t look to God for help.

Job 34:19 (ESV)  19. who shows no partiality to princes, nor regards the rich more than the poor, for they are all the work of his hands?

1 John 4:18-19 18. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. 19. We love because he first loved us.
James 4:10 (ESV) 10. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
