You Are Protected, Well and Safe In The Hands Of God Almighty
Return To Use God’s Word
I found this photo of a baby dear sleeping soundly in the hands of someone safe who would love and protect Him. It reminded me of how God takes care of His children and I wanted to give you assurance of this spiritual truth if you’re sick or going through a difficult time and think that God might be too far away. You are safe in God’s hands as one of His beloved.
Here’s a tender story that will help you better understand how God loves you. It took place in the Yellowstone National Park during one of its blazing forest fires. When the fire had subsided, the rangers began assessing the damage. One of the rangers found a bird that had been petrified in ashes, perched statuesque on the ground at the base of a tree. Sickened, he knocked over the bird with a stick. Then he gently struck it. To his amazement, he found three tiny chicks and watched them scurry from under their dead mother’s wings.
The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had carried her offspring to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise. She could have flown to safety but she had refused to abandon her babies.
When the blaze of the scorching fire had reached the birds, the fire was too hot for the tiny mother to survive, but she remained fixed upon providing safety and protection for her babies under the safety of her wings, even though it meant her death.
In The Hands Of God…
‘He will cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you will find refuge.’ (Psalm 91:4)
As Christians, we need to know that God will always protect and watch over us no matter what we’re going through or whenever we’re in danger. As we look to Him with trust and faith He will deliver us from any situation with the love and care of the loving mother bird that saved her babies’ lives. He will gently hold tight to us and never let us go.
Looking deeper, we can actually see God’s love in action through this example of nature protecting it’s own. Everything good in the world is a reflection of God’s love for us, just as He sacrificed His son for the sin in the world and as Jesus gave up His life for all mankind. Let us follow God’s example for others as well as keep a loving trust in our hearts that God will never let us down.
