The Seed Principle For Christian Renewal Brings Victory and Empowerment
Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast.”
I believe today’s message is appropriate for going into the New Year and keeping it as an important part of our Christian walk. While God has given us peace through Jesus Christ, many Christians are not living in the freedom it brings to experience the abundant life Jesus promises in John 10:10.
Inadequate and improper teaching of the basis and the concept of the seed principle is leaving people helpless, causing them to strive in their own strength, living in terrible guilt and fear, and feeling alienated from God.
This kind of teaching hinders the believer from receiving God’s benefits, blessings and promises. This is why I’m going to be using the Seed Principle from the Bible for the next few months for my Victory Messages.
The Seed Principle For Christian Renewal Practice
If you have accepted Christ, you have been justified and are in right standing with God the Father. You can go boldly before the throne of grace. Romans 5:1 says, “Therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,“ and Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Grace is unmerited favor toward us, given by no deed of our own, or earned right. You need not feel any guilt or inadequacy before God as you ask for anything because Ephesians 2:8-9 tell us that we are saved through faith and not of ourselves. There are no works we can do that will make us good enough to receive from God. We receive because of what Jesus did for us on the cross.
Say it to yourself daily that you are right or righteous to God in Christ Jesus. God sees you as righteous because of what Jesus did for us on the cross. Therefore, you receive from God not because of good works, but because of Jesus. You should never feel guilty or fearful that God won’t answer your prayers. God loves you and always forgives when we ask.
Play this short audio that repeats this last sentence. Listen to it over and over until it gets into your heart. Then make an affirmation from it and you’ll begin to see that you are righteous to God not because of what you do, but because of what Jesus did for you. You’ll be at peace and know that you are right with God in Christ to receive from God. Click here for the audio.
