State your request exactly.  According to James 1:8 a double-minded man is unstable and cannot expect to receive anything from God.  This means that we must always be clear when we pray because confusion means that you're not sure about what you want or need.   

James 1:8  7. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
