Living your salvation is the process from where you began with Christ the moment you received salvation onto a continued growth in Christ to become the “new man” in Him. Your growth leads to answered prayer, God’s promises, His will for your life and empowerment to accomplish God’s will (the Word) and guidance for your life. But, first you must receive salvation through Jesus Christ (Romans 10:9-10:9).
Part I) How To Receive Salvation In Jesus Christ Introduction
Receive your salvation through Jesus Christ, then seek after Biblical Training.
Before you receive your salvation, it is a good idea that you spend time in the Word reading through the book of Romans, specifically.
Romans 10:9-10:9 teaches the process for receiving salvation. This should be the most important action you take in your life, so it should be taken lightly. Know what you’re doing so that you will continue with the process. If you do it will have a remarkable affect upon your life and those around you for the rest of your life.
If you wish to receive your salvation and you don’t know where to receive it, go to your local church or find a Word-based church in your area. The pastor or church leaders can help you.
However, anyone can help you receive as we are all ministers and we should all minister to each other.
ROMANS 10:9-10 (KJV): 9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Note:
Before you receive salvation the Word of God by the Holy Spirit must move the human heart to believe for eternal life through Jesus Christ. Therefore, you must believe that God raised His Son from the dead in three days. Next, confession of Romans 9 must be made to complete the process. If your heart can’t believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the reality of salvation isn’t possible. However, your heart can be changed by faith.
1. Confession for salvation must be made that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior of your life according to Romans 10:9-10. The transact ion at this point is solely spiritual without physical verification. Outward appearance, personality, and intellect are the same after salvation as before.
2. The words that come out of your mouth must be backed by a belief in your heart that what you’re saying is true. You’ll either believe immediately that you’re saved or you’ll need to use faith.
3. Be thankful for your rebirth. Whether you believe immediately from the heart for salvation or not, thank God for it anyway. Even if you don’t feel that you’re saved, believe that you are and act like it’s so by taking on the characteristics of Jesus Christ.
4. Receive Salvation! Now you can use faith to receive all of the blessings that go with salvation, which are forgiveness of sins, healing, deliverance, soundness of mind, financial and general prosperity, divine guidance, safety, and protection. All of your personal needs and wants are within each of these blessings and belong to you through Jesus Christ.
Continue to be convinced of your salvation. Don’t expect physical evidence of any change. Nothing changes automatically other than your becoming a new creature in Christ. Normally one doesn’t feel any different, even though their spirit has just been recreated through Jesus Christ. God desires to be the center of your life, but He can’t force you to do this. You must apply His Words to your daily actions.
If you are ready to make Jesus Lord of your life, then read the information below, remaining prayerful and thankful for the sacrifice God made of His Son for you.
PART 2) RECEIVE YOUR SALVATION:
If you have your own prayer, make sure that it is based upon Romans 10: 9-10. Read the following Salvation Prayer to receive:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ. Your Word says, “…him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out” John 6:37. So I know you won’t cast me out, but you will take me in. I thank you for it. You said in your Word, “whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”
Romans 10:13. I am calling on your name, so I know you have saved me now. You also said, “if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth untorighteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” Romans 10:9-10.
I believe in my heart Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe that He was raised from the dead for my justification. And I confess Him now as my Lord, because your Word says, “…with the heart man believeth unto righteousness…” and I do believe with my heart, I have now become the righteousness of God in Christ 2 Corinthians 5:21. Now I am saved! Thank you, Lord!
