Inward Leading Of God Short Study
Inward Leading Of God

If you’re seeking your life purpose without success or you feel there is something you’re missing in your life but you’re just not sure what it is, then you need to develop a deeper relationship with God. As you do, you will be guided by an inward leading of God.

Maybe you’re waiting for God to come to you, but He already has come to you through the work of Jesus Christ on the Cross. If you’ve received your salvation, then you have right standing with God by identifying with Jesus to receive whatever you need from God.

Most Christians don’t think they’re good enough to communicate with God, but they’re living under the old covenant. We have a better covenant in the New Testament than in the old. Read Hebrews 8:8-11 which says,

…“Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the LORD. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.”

We are blessed today with a better Convent through the New Testament. In the Old Testament people needed continual signs and wonders from God in order to be led. It was an external leading rather than internal which we have today.

We can now contact God whenever we want and communicate with Him without an intermediary. In the Old Testament God’s people didn’t know intuitively what He wanted them to do or to know, but we have an inward leading of God because He lives within our hearts.

Because of Jesus, God leads us from within because that’s where He resides. There is no reason why we should fall or stumble as believers and not know who we are. Every believer is the righteousness of God and through Jesus Christ we have right standing with God, the Father! There is no reason for us not to know God’s will because we have His Word.

There’s no reason to wander around in circles because we don’t know what to do with our lives. As we look to Jesus and not to ourselves, we will hear an inward leading of God guiding us and revealing our life purpose with each step to follow. The inward leading of God will encourage or admonish us so that we will succeed in our lives and share the good news of Jesus Christ.

If you’re not familiar with the inward leading of God by the Holy Spirit, get to know God today through His Son Jesus Christ. Center your life around Him. Praise Him and thank Him for all He has done and is doing right now in your life.

If you’re not open to God, then you’re not open to your blessings. They are there for you, but you’re not listening to the inward leading of God that will warn you of danger, help you accomplish difficult tasks, provide for you in abundance and show you things to come.

Right now, thank God for His inward leading of your life. Spend time with Him in prayer everyday and practice identifying with Christ. As you do, your life will unfold through God’s greatest blessings. Even if you’re busy, begin with a few minutes of consistent time each day with God and somehow, someway, He will bless you with more time for Him. You’ll see how God will make the time you have left more productive and profitable.
