Illness From Money Can Happen When
We Spend Beyond Our Financial Ability
Illness from money need not be an issue in a Christian’s life, but many times it is. Sometimes people become ill because of stress. One of the greatest reasons for daily stress that can actually cause serious illnesses or disease is a lack of money.
There are many reasons why people get into debt, but one of the largest is spending beyond one’s current financial ability. When we overspend, rather looking to our faith for increase, it doesn’t take long for the stress to build when bills are going unpaid and there isn’t enough money to take care of daily needs.
Many Christians wonder why their prayers aren’t answered for healing or they blame God. But God answers our prayers once we ask Him of anything scriptural. Healing is in the scriptures, but over-spending beyond our means is not. God will supply the money we need increasingly, so we don’t need to overspend. If we look to His Word, then we can trust God for what we need, for financial increase and for debt relief. However, when we do things our way by overspending, we end up with stress that can lead to serious illnesses and worse, disease.
Stress, worry, fear and anxiety are not of God so when we fall into negative emotions rather than scripture, we can’t receive what God has freely given us such as scriptural healing.
2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV) 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV) 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
We need to operate in God’s promises. When we do, we allow God to bless us through our appreciation of what He has given us and our trust that as we have faith God will continue to increase our blessings.
How To Avoid Illness From Money
When it comes to money we need to ask ourselves what our motivation is for spending, having more of it and getting out of debt. God looks at the heart, so the beginning of our trust in God when it comes to money is to look at our spending in terms of what God has blessed us with today and then work with Him in faith according to His financial principles.
We need to see what we have as blessings and respect those blessings so much that we don’t fear life without having all the latest material goods that aren’t necessary for a successful life. By keeping ourselves satisfied we avoid illness from money issues and instead create a situation of developing great faith for financial increase.
Get A Fresh Start With God Today With God’s Love
Begin fresh with God and see Him as your provider by trusting Him for the money and the things you need. Look at your money first not to purchase what you want, but to bless God’s Kingdom. This is the kind of love that God has already placed into your heart at salvation. You have the love of God in you to want more money first to give into the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Love motivated our Heavenly Father to send His Son Jesus to redeem mankind and He put that same, “God kind of love” into every believer’s heart.
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us (Romans 5:5).
It’s that same love that calls and compels us to do something about the plight of lost people. Even as Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:14, For the love of Christ compels us.
However, just because we’re compelled doesn’t mean that we are going to take action. We’ve been given a free will to choose God’s love or man’s love which can at times be selfish and uncaring for our fellow man. But we have the ability or freedom to choose God’s love and put what should be at the center of every Christian’s agenda, “to help save the lost” by whichever means they are led. God will show you the way within your heart about giving.
It’s this love that will make the difference for receiving God’s blessings, including financial. Look at your heart and your motives about why you want more money and why you’re overspending. If your love doesn’t measure up to God’s, then change your heart by faith.
Practice trusting God today in your spending, saving, giving and desire to have more money. When you get this part of your life in order, you can avoid illness from money caused by fear and anxiety. We all have a part to play in our health and ability to receive God’s blessings. When we do our part, then what we’ve asked for in prayer will manifest.
Don’t put off living your life with the heart of God by burying it under personal ambitions, cares and problems, daily routines and the general busyness of life. Let God’s love reign in your heart over spending more money than what you have and you’ll begin the realize God’s greater blessings as well as good health and peace.
