Healing Prayers For Our Loved Ones and Others

We need to pray healing prayers for others who are a part of our lives and also persons who we don’t know well or at all. Our prayers for others are an important part of our personal ministries. When I say healing, I mean prayers that cover every need we see that others have whether it be sickness, disease, addictions, a need for salvation, emotional or soul wounds, debilitation, family problems, money issues, etc.
We also need to pray for people who have problems they can’t see on their own or understand. We can talk to people until we’re blue in the face about how they need to take a stronger hand with their children, or maybe change their moral character for example, but in most cases, they’re not going to listen, and in some cases they’ll be offended and turn their back on anyone who criticizes them. So how can we help others without offending them if they don’t want us to pray with or for them?
If you want to realize successful prayer results on the behalf of others (intercessory prayer) it’s important to pray with God’s ability by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will help you pray in ways that you don’t know how because no one knows another person’s heart or problem the way God does. While God can’t force the will of anyone for change or to believe for healing, He knows the heart of every person and He will know how to move someone to receive from your faithful prayers.
Romans 8:26-27 (NIV) 26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
Our prayers by the Holy Spirit will cause God to become immediately involved in the lives of those we pray for on our behalf. If you truly want to see miraculous occurrences in the lives of your family, friends and others, then you need to begin working with God by praying for them. Right now forget looking to yourself when you pray for others and instead become empowered by the Holy Spirit to see visible change in the lives of those who you pray for by letting God take over.
On a human level, prayer doesn’t work. But when you look to God through Jesus Christ for His ability to pray through you by the Holy Spirit, you’ll see amazing works.
