God's will scripture

God’s will scripture to help Christians understand what God’s will is in order to live a Godly life. It’s important to find the right scripture for what you need. This way you will receive the correct Bible knowledge about what you want specifically. It will also help you to develop greater faith and trust for whatever it is that you are asking God to provide you.

We receive from God by faith, so the more faith we have, the better we can make the changes in our lives that are needed and that will help God to perfect us. This does not mean that we will get to a point where we are perfect like Christ, but it’s a place where we are working with God instead of against Him.

If we don’t grow in the Word, we will remain as “babies” spiritually speaking. So we must maintain and continue a constant growth by transforming our minds with God’s Word. We must search the scriptures to find what God has to say about what we need or want.

2 Timothy 2:15 (NIV)
15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

The scripture below is for guidance to know God’s general will for all Christians. Of course, God’s will is for everyone to be saved, so the Bible is for the unsaved to discover their salvation and for the saved to grow in Christ. This is why each Christian has the responsibility to share salvation with the lost. As we grow in the Word, we will also grow in our ability to listen to God’s guidance for helping Him with this task, to live successfully in our everyday lives and to live God’s unique call upon our lives.

If you are a new Christian or new to the Word and don’t know where to look in the Bible for spiritual growth, the following scripture will greatly benefit you as you begin your walk with God. It’s important that all Christians understand that at salvation we became renewed through Jesus Christ, but we can only grow in Christ as we transform our minds to His word as mentioned according to Romans 12:2.

Scripture for God’s General Will:

Romans 12:2
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

1 Thessalonians 4:3-5
It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 2:15
For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your
own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Romans 8:27
And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.

Philemon 6
I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.
