How To Meditate On Verses for financial healing
How To Meditate On Verses

I learned how to meditate on verses years ago when I became very ill and decided to look to God for healing.  Later on, I used what I had learned over my finances to get out of debt and to increase our family money.

People think of healing in terms of physical health only, but character flaws can cause great stress, anxiety and illness.  A lack of money and credit card debt are two of the largest causes of stress in varying degrees so it’s important to learn how to regard money God’s way and follow His principles for financial growth and good stewardship to remain emotionally healthy and strong.

Debt-Stress Money Connection

According to a 2007 survey by the American Psychological Association Money is a leading source of stress for Americans.   In the survey, 73% of the respondents cited money as a significant source of stress in their lives.  The Federal Reserve’s Survey of Consumer finances states that currently more than three out of every four American families are in debt, according to the Federal Reserve’s Survey of Consumer Finances.

God has given us clear instructions in the Bible that tell us not to be anxious about anything.  He also gives instructions about how to avoid anxiety by following His ways.  When it comes to money He has given us principles that if followed will provide us with financial increase and debt relief.  And He tells us that we don’t have to worry and what to do about it in Philippians 4:6-7.

Philippians 4:6-7 (NKJV)  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

My Christian Money Growth Study puts together God’s financial principals for you and leads the way to living in financial peace.  However, principles without action do little good for change.  This is why I also include instructions for how to meditate on verses or scripture.

Romans 10:17 (NIV) 17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

God tells us in scripture how to meditate on verses to make the changes we need.  It’s a very simple process that we can do throughout the day or night while cleaning the house, after we go to bed, while gardening or any other time when we aren’t doing something we need to give our full attention to in order to be safe or to do a good job.

We need to hear the Word in order to get it into our hearts.  But we can’t hear it unless we speak it.  As we act upon it, we’ll begin to realize changes in our minds, actions, attitudes and bad habits.  We’ll be following God’s Word which always brings a successful conclusion over our problems. The closer you get to God through His Word the easier it will be for you to believe His Word and better understand who you really are in Christ.  This is why meditating in the Word is vital to living Godly lives.

Whoever you believe you are today is your reaction to how you grew up and the environment in which you lived and live in today.  You may feel great about yourself or you may feel confused about who you are and what your purpose is for living.

Any confusion you may have will be the part of you that has doubt about whether God’s Word is true or if it’s really true for you.  Through the Word, God can take your doubt and exchange it with the assurance that you are right with Him through Jesus Christ and that you have a great purpose to fulfill no matter who you are or what your age!

As you confess and meditate upon the Word, you’ll begin to believe that you can do anything through Christ.  This includes money growth and debt relief.  God desires that you live in peace and joy.  He’ll use whatever problems you have today to help you achieve His blessings to make the peace and joy of kingdom living come alive in your life.  All you need to do is speak or mutter the Word to yourself in the areas where you need to grow and act on those Words.  The more you confess scripture and act upon it, the more accelerated your understanding and progress to overcome your situation.

If you’re in financial difficulty, God will use your situation to fulfill His Word in your life to make you a financial blessing for His Kingdom to spread the Word of salvation to the lost.  He’ll also prosper your personal life to keep you from stressing over a lack of money and excess debt as you practice good stewardship.

God needs you to prosper financially and He needs you to desire to help Him spread the gospel.  Once you realize how important it is to God through scripture to help you grow financially, you’ll see the importance of obeying God’s Word to become financially strong and a good steward with the money He entrusts to you.  In the process, you will be greatly blessed because God will be able to open opportunities for you to grow your money and He will lead you to accomplish the great dreams that He put into your heart.
