Healing By Faith In Jesus Christ

For Great Faith…

Healing By Faith Lesson One

Keep Your Eyes On Jesus

Healing By Faith Preface

I never teach what I don’t know and when it comes to scriptural healing, I have over 30 years of experience, including the present time of using God’s Word for divine health and healing. I just turned 71 and I’m in great health.  This doesn’t mean that I don’t get ill.  However, if I do get sick, which is rare, I look to God in faith.

The information I cover in this lesson will be from my studies concerning scriptural healing combined with my experiences using God’s Word for healing.  Hover over the verses to read them.

Healing By Faith In Jesus Christ by Margaret Lukasik

Please understand that when I say “healing” I am referring to every sickness, disease, loss of body parts, poor eyesight, blindness, depression, bipolar, emotional or soul wounds, intellectual difficulties and anything such as addictions which make a person less than God designed them to be.

“Have faith in God,” people say. But what does it really mean? First let’s find out what it doesn’t mean concerning the Bible and healing specifically.

We can have a faith or belief in a religion. “What faith are you?” An interested person might ask someone. The answer could be Christian, Mormon, Islamic, Buddhist or a list of other “faiths” one might believe in and study.

Faith is also a general belief that something is true. We can have faith in our spouse that he or she will be true to us. Or we can believe in the word or integrity of a good friend. We must have faith in employers that they will compensate their employees for work given in exchange for a specific number of days and hours worked per week. Much of the faith we have in others is based upon our experience with them, their reputation or common sense. For instance if a business already has employees and is a success, there is good reason to believe the employees are getting paid.

The kind of faith we need to “take” God’s promises is the kind of faith which believes without having or seeing physical evidence. Instead, the Word of God is our evidence. It’s not a blind faith because as I have said, we have evidence of what God tells us. That evidence is God’s Word or God Himself. John 1:1-2 says that God and His Word are the same. Which makes spiritual sense and physical sense because the words we speak are who we are.

When we speak God’s Word and allow it to transform our minds, our speaking and actions, we become who God’s Word says we are which is a blessed people who are entitled to all of God’s promises including healing! Our faith as Christians must be based upon the Word of God. God’s Word is where we place our faith. So healing by faith in Jesus means believing God’s Word for healing or believing that God is not telling a lie when He says that He is Jehovah Rapha the God who heals us.

The redemptive name Jehovah-Rapha means, “…I am the Lord that healeth thee” or “I am the Lord thy physician” (Exodus 15:26) Hebrews 1:11 Now faith is

Healing By How Much Faith?

How much faith do we have? The Bible says we have all been given the same measure of faith. However what we do with it is up to us. Jesus said that with faith the size of a mustard seed we can curse the fig tree as He did in Mark 11:12-15 and cause it to wither and die.

Matthew 13:31; Mark 4:30; and Luke 13:19

“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field; and this is smaller than all other seeds; but when it is full grown, it is larger than the garden plants, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.” (Matt. 13:31; see also Mark 4:30; Luke 13:19).

Regarding the mustard seed’s size, it’s important that you don’t look at what Jesus said about the size of the mustard seed as the message. He was making a point using what was relevant to Israel at the time. There are different kinds of mustard trees in Israel, and the mustard seed was the smallest of all the seeds known there and used by those in Israel at that time.

You can do a study on this subject, but here I want to show that Jesus was saying with only a tiny amount of faith we can do what He did which shows us that our faith can be tiny but powerful! While the mustard seed is not the smallest of all seeds, Jesus was speaking proverbially. That is, he wasn’t making a statement of absolute fact but using a proverbial style of communication.

Keep Your Eyes Focused On Jesus For Scriptural Healing

Hebrews 1:11 declares our need to believe what we cannot see.  This is what faith is.  We must call those things which be not as though they were (Romans 4:17). But how does this process work from within? We have to believe with the heart according to Mark 11:24.

Our hearts must believe that God’s Word is true and that God is not a liar.  By trusting Him, with all our hearts, we can have what we say.

Trust God for healing your body, mind, soul or spirit and you’ll always have good health and well-being in Christ.
