Why We Should Be Worshiping and Praising God Daily
Worshiping and praising God isn’t just something we do on Sundays and then forget about the rest of the week. It’s actually an important part of our relationship with God and an important means by which we receive blessings, guidance and success from God.

Lifting our hands in praise to God from the heart is a powerful force that takes hold of us no matter what we’re going through or have to face.
Praising and thanking God puts us in a position of having great joy because it fills us with God’s love and power. It give us the confidence to know that God is behind us and will see us through everything, no matter how difficult.

Philippians 4:4-7
We need to rejoice everyday. Without joy it will be difficult, if not impossible to fully live your life purpose. Having joy means that from deep within you believe in the security of God’s Word. It means that you know that God is not only taking care of you and your family, but He’s guiding you and giving you ability to fulfill whatever you have to accomplish, even if it appears to be beyond the scope of your ability.
Worshiping and Praising God comes naturally when we allow Philippians 4:4-7 to take root in our lives. However, we don’t wait until we’re in a state of complete trust before we begin to act on what God says. In fact if we do, we’ll never trust God because we have to take everything He says by faith. Whether we believe that we don’t have to be anxious for anything or not isn’t the focal point of our joy.
It’s a scriptural fact that God says we don’t have to worry about anything and that we can be thankful once we pray. All we have to do is look at other scriptures such as Mark 11:23-24 that tells us that God will answer all our prayers if we believe that He will. Everything that God has for us is available to us by faith.
This means that we rejoice as the Word tells us to do whether we feel like it or not. In the midst of worshiping and praising God, even in times of trouble, He will manifest Himself to us by the Holy Spirit with encouragement, empowerment and assurance that we are delivered. Psalm 22:3 tell us that God inhabits the praises of His people and I can say without a doubt that this is true.
So many times when my children were ill, or I needed help and guidance, the action of thanking and praising God, worshiping Him in thankfulness for what I believed I had received, brought the reality of my faith. Our family received healing, growth, transformation and restoration. Even now, thanking and praising God with my adult children manifests what we ask of Him right in the midst of our worshiping Him. What more can you ask for your children–especially when it has to do with the life purpose God has entrusted to them.
Philippians 4:8-9
All we have to do is take God at His Word. As we take time for worshiping and praising Him for all He has done for us, we’ll receive the conviction and the joy that He’s moving on our behalf for the best in our lives always. The way to remain in this reality for success is to take Philippians 4:8-9 to heart and follow what it says. These scriptures will train your heart, body, mind and emotions to be aligned with the wisdom of God through His Son Jesus Christ.
The Process Of Worshiping and Praising God
It may seem silly to give instructions for worshiping and praising God, but many Christians don’t do it. I didn’t for most of my childhood at church and my young adult life because the church I belonged to believed that it was evil to praise God and wrong to follow teachings about the Holy Spirit. I always suspected this was incorrect, especially when I spoke with my pastor about it and He said that most of the Bible isn’t for us today.
I thought, “then what are we all doing here? The Bible tells us that God is the same yesterday, today and forever.” Leaving my family church to find a Bible church at that time was like looking for a needle in a haystack, but that’s just what I did! And after searching for sometime on my own I found nothing. However, once I let the Holy Spirit take over, I was led to a church that centered upon God’s Word.
It was then that I came to learn about worshiping and praising God. It felt strange at first because my family and my family church wasn’t demonstrative about anything. We had no excitement or enthusiasm about anything concerning the things of God. So I understand if you might be thinking, “I’m not going to embarrass myself and get loud and frenzied looking. I’m not going to be a fool and start worshiping and praising God–even by myself!”
The truth is that we’re expected to be worshiping and praising God throughout each day in one way or another. As we do it, it will feel more and more natural. It’s also true that as you allow God’s word to transform your life you’ll desire to praise and thank God with all your heart–you won’t be able to help it! However if you believe that it’s wrong, read the verses below. There are many others, but these two make it clear that we should worship God.
We also see that God is a spirit and that’s how He can inhabit our praises. We must worship God in spirit and in truth. We must worship Him from our hearts or spirits and with the “truth” of His Word! This is a scriptural principle. Worshiping and praising God will bring you encouragement, spiritual growth, healing, prosperity, success and guidance by the Holy Spirit.
John 4:23-24
Psalm 150:1-6
You can praise God in various ways, but do it daily! This is one of the greatest ways to be blessed and be a blessing. As the verse above says, you can praise God for everything He is doing. Praise Him with instruments, with your voice, dance if you want to or jump for joy! Let praises escape from your lips and lift up your arms to worship and praise Him. And when you’re in a place where silence must be respected, praise and thank God from your heart and mind. Be silent, but be thankful!
Philippians 4:4 says to rejoice in the Lord always, so keep worshiping and praising God in whatever way is appropriate at the time and you will see great changes in your life, great faith building from within your heart and your life purpose coming into focus!
