While some people prefer to attain their goals alone, others need regular motivation from persons they feel comfortable to be around such as a family member, friend or another person working at accomplishing the same goal.  If you need that encouragement, this article should help you find the best type of alliance to form when losing weight.

I chose my husband to help me, and while he was very helpful, I came to realize that when I gave my burden of losing weight to Jesus, it was no longer a struggle.  But sometimes we need help in the natural while we’re trusting God for victory.  The following will help you achieve your weight loss in Christ if you need encouragement and a spiritual push each day to keep your eyes on Jesus.

How To Choose A Partner For Weight Loss Motivation

When forming a weight loss partnership in Christ, keep in mind that you need to be equally yoked with someone who will support your choice to keep God’s principles from scripture at the center of your weight loss.

2 Corinthians 6:14 (KJV)
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Important Weight Loss Partnership Character Elements

You also need someone who cares about you and desires that you be healthy and happy about how you look to yourself.  Most of us care more about how we look to ourselves than what others think.  We need people around us who can understand that personal choice.

Therefore, it’s imperative that you find someone who possesses understanding, patience and kindness, and who can motivate you with leadership based upon God’s truth and solid goal keeping principles.

The best partner or partners are people who are losing weight as well.  However they need to be of like-mind concerning the Christian Weight Loss Process that puts good health first and Biblical principles at work for transformation.  This commitment leads to a life-long weight control without deprivation, disappointment or depression.

I offer this type of encouragement as a part of the Christian Weight Loss Project because I’m committed to helping women and men look to Jesus for this important life goal that will yield a more prosperous lifestyle that includes service to God as well as living a life that’s free of looking at food as the enemy rather than something to enjoy.

If you need to, educate your family or friends so that they can best support you in your endeavor to create a healthy lifestyle now and for the rest of your life!  All things are possible in Christ.
