Choosing God’s Seed and Sowing Seed Affirmation
As I state on my home page, we are a new nation, or a new nationality in Christ! According to 1 Peter 2:9. However, we have to plant God’s Word within us to realize that truth. Otherwise we will judge others and ourselves with corruptible seed that causes chaos, division, hatred and a loss of direction or focus upon Christ.
We each have a choice to choose the world or the Word. We do that by deciding what seed we will plant, cultivate and grow. We can utilize the mind to sow a corruptible seed to the flesh or an incorruptible seed to the spirit.
Galatians 6:8 says, “For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he that soweth to the spirit shall of the Spirit reap everlasting life.“
The believer must decide with his or her mind what kind of seed they are going to sow and where they are going to sow it. If it’s incorruptible seed (God’s Word), it will be sown to the human spirit and the Holy Spirit within our spirit will water it and bring light to it and make it known to us. We will clearly see the picture that God wants us to see.
To clarify Galatians 6:8, Paul is not saying to sow to the Holy Spirit. That would be odd when we know the Holy Spirit does not need anything to be sown to Him. The human spirit needs the seed of God’s Word and is regenerated by the Holy Spirit when we accept Christ.
We must consider the fact that the word “pneuma“ is used in the Greek for both God’s spirit and man’s. So one must determine from the text what is being referred to.
Sowing What Is God and Not The World
In Galatians 6:7, the word says, “Be not deceived, God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.“
Whatever you sow, you are going to reap. Don’t be deceived, don’t quit, don’t give up. In other words, whatever kind of seed we sow within is the kind of fruit we’re going to get.
Whatever you are sowing within you, that’s the kind of fruit you are going to get. It is a law. It is a governing principle. The “seed principle.“ The seeds we sow will be the seeds we reap, and the results of corruptible seeds are death and destruction.
So make a decision about what kind of seeds you going to sow, and the attitude you are going to have.
- First, we are going to take control of our mind in what we are going to allow ourselves to think about.
- Second, we are not going to allow outside thoughts to control our mind.
- And, third, we are going to learn how to sow seed within ourselves that is going to produce good fruit, a whole new outlook on life, a whole new outlook on who God is and who those around us are.
You see, God wants us to have a new view. A view that brings peace and joy. A view that brings life, not destruction. Next, I have create a short demonstration about how you can best plant seeds.
How To Create Choosing God’s Seed Affirmations
2 Corinthians 9:10 says, “Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness.”
Choosing God's Seeds
Using 2 Corinthians 9:10 as an example, I’ve had a short recording made of a statement based upon this lesson. This first recording exemplifies speaking God’s Word without planting it for growth.
Just speaking the Word without personalizing it, or without verifying it’s truth in the Word will not release the faith needed for the Word to come alive.
Choosing God's Seeds For Planting
The second recording is an example of how to take any Bible lesson and create an affirmation that will plant the seed of God’s message within your heart and that will transform your mind.
If you paraphrase and personalize the scripture, you will have a working affirmation that will lead to the Holy Spirit watering that seed and bringing forth change. Do this with different scripture throughout the week.
Conclusion
I hope you’ve enjoyed this lesson and that you will allow it to sow God’s seed within your heart. Make each of your Bible lessons count by using the information I’ve shared.
It’s easy to speak God’s Word, but unless you understand the process and the importance of what you speak, God’s Word won’t come alive in you as Romans 12:2 states that we must transform our minds with the Word of God.
