LIVE IN THE POWER OF JESUS CHRIST!

If you spend more time at Easter thinking about making Easter eggs and buying candy, you’re in for an awesome surprise that will empower you to live the true meaning of Easter everyday for the rest of your life!

Easter has become very commercialized over the years, designed to turn people away from its true meaning, which is part of the world’s effort to take God out of our lives. Secularists have brought the bunny and candy into it and as Christians know, they don’t have anything to do with the true meaning of Easter.

We can enjoy these things, but we have to keep them in their place by keeping Jesus first in our lives.  For some that may mean denying their children the Easter egg hunts and the Easter baskets, but these can always be turned into Christian messages for our children if we choose what we give them and how.   But for now let’s go back in time before the Easter bunny and Easter eggs were ever an issue.

The true meaning of Easter goes back to the Garden of Eden. Man was in a serious situation. He had fallen into sin, and as you know, the wages of sin is death. Man was on his way to Hell. God loved the people of this world so much, that He sent His Son as the sacrifice that would pay the price man could not pay.

When Jesus was crucified, He not only went to the grave, but to Hell. He rose triumphant, overcoming the devil and unlocking the chains that had kept mankind bound in sin, sickness, disease, poverty, and all the afflictions that had kept God’s children from realizing victory.

Yes, Jesus took the keys of all affliction from Satan as He rose from the dead to show mankind that they could now have life eternal! All they had to do was accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. Jesus was the fulfillment of God’s promised Savior to save the world from sin and death.

What The True Meaning Of Easter Isn’t

The devil, who is behind the secular movement, has managed to get many people’s attention off God by taking Him out of every Christian holiday, by making up the difference with cartoon characters, if you will, to distract us. Then add candy, games, and the race to buy gifts and the holiday turns into something it was never intended to be. But the true meaning of Easter can be read in the Biblical account of the  true story of Easter in 1 Corinthians 15:12-29.

There is nothing wrong with candy, games, and gifts unless you forget the real reason for this and all the other Christian holidays. We must continue to remember why Jesus died on the cross for us and why he rose from the dead. He did that so we would be able to have eternal life; a life free from illness, unhappiness, or stress. When we remember this we will know exactly why it’s important to celebrate Easter. It’s important to remember what God has done for us all year long.

How To Live The True Meaning Of Easter

  • Spend time together as a family and rejoice together for what Jesus did for us.
  • Remind each other on a daily basis, so you don’t forget that He did this for you.
  • Begin your family Easter Sunday gathering with a church service.
  • Once the service is over you need to continually remind yourself of what Jesus did for us and give him thanks for that whenever you think about it.

Each step given centers around remembering what Christ did for us when He died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead.  The best way to keep what Jesus did for us is to do the following:

Identifying with Christ Keeps The True Meaning Of Easter Alive!

When you begin your day confess that you were crucified with Christ, that you were buried with Christ, that you rose from the dead with Christ and that you are now sitting with Christ at the right hand of the Father.  This has become so much a part of who I am that it’s a reality I carry with me in my thinking, speaking and actions.  Even when I don’t confess it, I still remember this truth throughout the day.

Speaking this affirmation keeps me in remembrance of the fact that I am nothing on my own, but that I can do all things in Christ.  I was saved when I was nine years old but the Word didn’t come alive for me until I began to center upon the Word.

Because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ we have power in His name but unless we keep the true meaning of Easter alive in us daily by faith, it will never touch our lives and give us victory.

This year, or rather today, begin a tradition of celebrating Easter for its true meaning by identifying with Christ every day.  God gave His son so that the World can receive eternal life.  Let this truth come alive for you and your family.
