Return To Christian Money Growth Studies
Most Christians have little money, even though God is waiting to bless them. Does this describe your financial situation? If so, I hope this information will be helpful!
I want you to keep in mind throughout this short lesson that financial increase from God is part of a lifestyle that steers us in the direction of living God’s Word to be a blessing to Him, rather than just to have money and things.
Many Christians haven’t been taught how to regard money Biblically. We can begin with the scriptural truth that because of Jesus Christ we have been made heirs to the blessings of Abraham. God has an infinite supply of everything we could ever want or need, including money. but because most Christians either don’t know this is true or they don’t believe it, they are living without God’s financial abundance, and instead with financial burdens.
We need to look at the life of Abraham in order to understand what God has done for us. He teaches us how we receive our blessings and the attitude we should have to receive God’s promises. Abraham shows us that centering upon God by living the Word opens the door for God to bless us in all areas of life. Abraham was unwavering in His obedience to God and as a result he was blessed abundantly.
God expected Abraham to obey Him and leave his country. However, Abraham needed to obey God by leaving everything he knew behind as well as accepting His blessings of obedience to fulfill God’s promise to his bloodline all the way to Jesus so that even the gentiles could receive their spiritual inheritance through Him.
You Have A Spiritual Inheritance Scripture
Genesis 12:1–3 (KJV) The Blessing of Abraham 1. “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2. And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3. And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
God desires for all the families of the earth to be blessed through His Son Jesus Christ! Are you blessed? If not, then you need to receive your inheritance through Jesus Christ once you are saved. You must develop and use your faith to act in obedience to God and as a result you enter into Kingdom living. You become blessed as you are a blessing to God.
The process of kingdom living develops you as a person who is respected and is able to accomplish great things through Jesus Christ. Now that you know you have an inheritance, you can receive it by centering upon God first as Abraham did. You center upon God by the scriptures and having faith that God will bless you.
Follow God’s Word and you will never lack for anything. You will live under God’s protection and blessings for the rest of your life! Look at these verses from Galatians that prove that we now have a
spiritual inheritance in Christ:
Galatians 3:8 (ASV)
And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all the nations be blessed.
Galatians 3:16 (ASV)
Now to Abraham were the promises spoken, and to his seed. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
We now have the benefit of Abraham’s obedience to God through our redemption in Jesus Christ and His blessing by faith. Galatians 3:13-14 makes this clear.
Galatians 3:13-14 (NASB)
13. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”—14. in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through
