Spirit Of Joy
Keep The Spirit Of Joy Always!

Keep a spirit of joy no matter what is happening in your life. It’s the proof that you belief God is working on your behalf. Having joy actually demonstrates to you what level of faith you have that you are healed or that you have received what you’ve asked God for by faith.

If you feel afraid or worried through difficult times, such as health set-backs or severe pain for example, you must keep your joy to remain strong in the Lord. This short article will help you remain in a state of joy, even when you want to give up. Having a spirit of joy will bring you victory!

Proverbs 20:27 says that the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly. Listen to what Peter has to say on the subject in 1 Peter 1:5-7. His encouragement will help you to remember what to focus upon to continue in peace.

1 Peter 1:5-7  5. Who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7. that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Regardless of what you may be going through today, you need to rejoice. Peter says in verse 6, “In this you greatly rejoice, even if for a season you are experiencing various trials.”

How To Daily Keep The Spirit Of Joy

  • Have the attitude that you are always abundantly blessed or that you are healed. God’s blessings will pour down upon you as you continue to be thankful to Him.

Force yourself to smile and enjoy your day. As a child, my Sunday school teacher told us to keep a smile and never frown because it would show up permanently on our faces. If you’ve got a frown showing either inward or outward, change it with a wide smile because Jesus loves you and is waiting to hold you in His arms and take away your sickness, disease, pain, depression or difficulties.

Let go of your sorrow and take His hand! When you do, you’ll have the spirit of joy without having to work at it.  So laugh, smile, be thankful through all things, even if you’re going through the roughest patch you’ve ever been through. Don’t let your trials rob you; always keep a spirit of joy.  It’s actually by the will that we laugh or choose to be thankful and happy, so it’s not something that’s impossible to do.

Of course, if you’ve lost a loved one it’s difficult to laugh or smile, but you can think on the great qualities you loved about them and smile over what joy that person brought you.

Is It Possible To Keep A Spirit Of joy Always?

All Christians can keep a spirit of joy always, but they have to cultivate it and make it come alive in their lives so that even in the bad times they can experience peace.

Joy is one of the fruits of the spirit so we’re able to grow it within our hearts…

Galatians 5:22-23 22. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23. Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Rejoice Always!

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 16. Rejoice evermore.  17. Pray without ceasing.  18. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

To keep a spirit of joy comes easily as we thank and praise God during difficult times.  This releases our faith and trust in God that we know He is always working on our behalf. Giving God this trust actually gives God the opportunity to make difficult situations turn into wonderful blessings, not just for us but for those around us.
