Christian RevivalWe all need revival in our lives and throughout our lives. Revival isn’t something we pray for only when life isn’t going right, but something we do with God to bring greater enlightenment of His Word and will into our lives. Because of forgiveness we can always move forward with God and expect revival, but it doesn’t just come because we have decided to embrace a new direction. It comes because we make the decision to walk with God and look to Him for His direction to live a renewed life in Christ.

But there is more that we must do beyond making a commitment to God. Christian revival comes when we commit to the Word and take time daily to get it into our hearts. God’s Word gives life; renewed life in Christ. As we continue to meditate in His Word, revival comes and we begin to see great changes. They may seem small at first, but they are great because they are the evidence of God’s Word bringing revival into our lives.

Because God is forgiving, if you realize the need for revival after becoming ill you can commit to living God’s will and move forward with Him to receive! Many times, illness directs a persons thoughts toward God, making them wonder if God is punishing them for going astray or not giving God consideration in their everyday life circumstances. Some may feel as if it’s too late to move forward with God because He no longer cares. But this is not true! God cannot punish His children with sickness because sickness is not of God. Sickness is an outcome of not practicing the Word because it’s medicine to our bodies, souls and spirits.

Many long-term Christians find themselves ill because they were taught that God may or may not desire for them to be healed. But with God there is only one conclusion for all His promises; they are fulfilled when we believe with all our hearts that God has given them to us completely and that they always belong to us if we are saved. Having this confidence opens the door to healing or having whatever God says belongs to us.

There is an action on our part to receive healing, good health and well-being. We need to follow the fruits of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) which will keep us from the emotions that bring illness, depression and discontent with our lives. These detrimental emotions are anger, worry, jealousy, being mean-spirited, coveting what others have, not forgiving and hating certain persons.

Another means of illness comes when we don’t respect our bodies as the temple of God (1 Corinthians 6:19) and eat poorly, drink alcohol, smoke or become drug addicted. The fruit of self-control will help us break-down the stronghold these problems can have over our lives.

By not following God’s Word we can become sick, but we can turn illness around to good health with God’s Word. The good news is that it’s never too late with God. Bad emotions leave us “raw” spiritually speaking and they open the door to sickness and disease, but the Word brings new life or renewal to overcome the ravages of what our bad feelings have caused us to experience. The Word overcomes the disbelief that it’s possible to actually receive anything from God no matter what we’ve done or what mistakes we’ve made. So if you’re ill, don’t give up with God, instead embrace His Word for Christian revival in your life and you will be healed through Jesus Christ!

Christian Revival Will Overcome The Spirit Of Fear

2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

Don’t wait for revival if you’re currently in good health, but if you’re ill today with any sickness or disease, this is the time for Christian revival! Don’t turn away from God in fear that’s it too late. We have not been given the spirit of fear, but of power, love and self-discipline to follow God’s way through the power of Jesus Christ. Face God today and commit your life to Him. Then follow His Word to receive healing.

If you’re new to the Word, I have a list of healing verses that will get into your heart or spirit and build faith for healing, but just reading verses isn’t enough. When I was ill years ago, I spend time meditating in the Word for healing, believing that healing was for me and that God healed me when I asked for it in prayer. When I didn’t receive healing, it was during the times when I didn’t always take care of my health by eating poorly. We need to learn about how to be healthy and do our best to eat right and exercise in order to maintain our health from our end.

I highly recommend her book because it’s helped me to receive Christian revival in the area of better health to maintain healing on a deeper level. We’re never too old for change and revival. No matter how old I become, I’m always open to growing with God. How about you? Will you let God into your life to bring Christian revival for a renewed life? I encourage you to do so because the rewards will bless every part of your life and family.
