True Christian Healing Must Be Done With These Important Tips!
Matthew 15:31 (NIV) “The people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled made well, the lame walking and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel.”
Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free…”
God is still healing people today in Jesus’ Name which means that you can be healed too. However, in this short article I wanted to insure that Christians practice wisdom with the scriptures concerning healing. There are many scriptural ways to be healed but in this short article I’m speaking about a believer using the “prayer of faith” from Mark 11:23-24 to receive healing according to the many healing verses found in the Bible.
It’s important to continue with or consider the medical profession when one is sick and weak in faith. While I teach that Christians can receive what they need from God NOW, new or baby Christians must be guided to remain under their doctors care or get medical help as they trust God to heal them. Having this assistance can actually trigger great faith in a person with little faith as they pray that God will work through their doctor or the medical profession in some way.
I’m thankful to God for the medical profession who bring healing through medical science. I would never tell anyone to bypass their doctor and prescribed medical help for divine healing alone. This is something that should be done when a person has been using faith for healing with positive results for a time and they know their faith is sufficient to trust God NOW to heal them without prescribed medication or surgery for example. God will honor your faith either way.
A person knows when they’re ready to pray and receive healing from God without intervention from a doctor or medication. And they can seek God in prayer and through His Word to be sure. But no one has the right to bully someone who is ill to turn away from their doctor to use God’s Word for healing only.
The Importance Of Christian Healing Wisdom
More important no one should keep a child or a very sick person from medical help if they need it because if your faith isn’t sufficient for them to live they might die or suffer terribly. It’s not just to make that decision for anyone. It’s also wrong because the Bible tells us to follow the laws of the land where we live. In the United States by law, parents or guardians must always get children with life-threatening illnesses to a doctor in a timely manner.
Many people have died because they were made to feel guilty that they were bad Christians because they prayed for healing, yet continued with their doctor. To me, it’s evil to put that burden on a sick person or anyone really. Faith is a process for some people, while others pick up on it right away. We’re all different, so people who teach divine healing need to be careful and loving with God’s mercy and compassion. By living the fruits of the spirit, we can help increase the faith of others because Godly faith works by Godly love. Pray with others and put your faith to their faith and you may increase their faith through your love.
Faith for Christian healing takes practice. I always say to use faith on the little things for healing such as headaches, a bruise, pain, colds and other issues that aren’t life threatening. Acting upon God’s Word in this way increases faith and the belief that Jesus does heals when we ask. I can help Christians receive healing or whatever they need from God in a way that quickly brings peace and trust, which can speed up the process, but I still encourage the help of a trusted doctor when it comes to Christians new to scriptural healing by faith.
