Christian Emppowerment

We all desire to receive our blessings and favor with God, but many Christians aren’t experiencing the empowerment to express God’s best in their lives.

God is not a respecter of persons, so it isn’t because He chooses some people over others to bless.  Look at Acts 10:34-35.  It doesn’t matter who you are or where you came from.

Acts 10:34-35  34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:  35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

We’re all empowered by God to receive salvation, but that’s not the end of the journey with God! Christians forget about the Trinity or three-part nature of God.  Looking only to the Heavenly Father part of the trinity leaves the Christian lifestyle void of the empowerment we have because of our redemption in Christ. Looking further into Acts 10:37-38 we see the life of Christian empowerment that Jesus lived on earth.

Acts 10:37-38 says…

37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;  38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

The great news is that the empowered works that Jesus did on earth we can do also.  We have it on good authority because Jesus said it himself! And we have the Holy Spirit to help us. We can serve God just as He did only in a greater way because we have more than 3 years to serve God.

Jesus had only 3 years of ministry. We have the rest of our lifetime. And there are more of us on earth than Jesus and His disciples and helpers.

John 14:12  12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Be Willing To Speak These 6 Words Of Christian Empowerment

According to Isaiah 1:18-20, God says that if we are willing and obedient, we shall eat the good of the land.  But if we refuse and rebel, then we suffer the consequences of living without God’s blessing of protection and all blessings to prosper our lives.  God doesn’t destroy our lives, but Satan does.  When we rebel against God He can’t help us because we have a free will to choose living without God or His Word. If we’re not for Him, then we’re against Him.

Becoming saved alone doesn’t activate God’s blessings in our lives.  We must first commit to living God’s will.  When we choose to be saved, we also must choose to make Jesus Lord over our lives.  If we don’t, we’re on our own against the world and Satan’s strongholds on our lives through poverty, bad relationships, sickness, disease, depression, discouragement and the inability to live our most fulfilled lives in Christ.

You can begin fresh with God. Isaiah 1:18 says that we can reason together with God to turn our sin from scarlet to be as white as snow.  How can we do that?  Through God’s forgiveness and our repentance.  God forgives our sins as if they never were (Isaiah 43:25).

Ask God to forgive your sins, receive and then repent.  This means that your motive for asking God to forgive you isn’t to keep sinning the same sins over and over again.  Instead repent with a heart that desires to live God’s will and overcome sin.
