Launch Out Into The Deep by Acacia Slaton was written with a sincere heart and great passion to help young people turn to God rather than the empty encounters of sexual experimentation and promiscuity as well as the use of drugs.

Throughout the book Acacia bravely gives examples from her own life experiences where her faith was tested.  This gave me the assurance that she understands what many teens and young adults are going through on a day-to-day basis, giving her guidance about facing life's difficulties a more realistic voice.  It's one thing to write a book filled with scripture and a good Christian message, but it's more powerful when the author has experienced the topics addressed and has taken a successful path for resolution.

Acacia also gives each chapter of her book a unique touch by ending with a verse and Words of Wisdom. I believe this is important because we need God's Word to back what we say and it teaches the importance of scripture in our daily lives.  It also gives the message that although none of us are perfect, we can overcome our mistakes through Jesus Christ and learn to follow Him instead of the world. 

We need to insure that our young people are exposed to information that will encourage and lead them to God's best in life.  Acacia's book is a good source of study that will lead them out of the darkness and into the light of blessings awaiting them through Jesus Christ.
