Authority To Bind and Loose In Jesus' Name.
Bind and Loose In Jesus’ Name.

I thought I would create this short lesson from my newest book, Take The Path To Victorious Christian Living because the information is so valuable for all Christians in their personal lives, their business or career, ministry and life purpose.

If you didn’t already know, you’ve been given the authority to do something very special and powerful. Because of Jesus and His work on the cross you have the authority to bind and to loose according to Matthew 16:19 in His name.

Have you taken this authority for your life?

If not, you’re missing out on VICTORY over all negative circumstances and the ability to receive God’s blessings. We’ve been given the authority to tread over scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, so we have the power to bind anything that comes against by the power and authority of Jesus Christ.

Note that I said by the authority of Jesus Christ. This principle can only be utilized successfully when you understand where your ability comes from to accomplish what you want or need or when you need to overcome life’s problems.

Using The Authority To Bind and Loose

We loose and bind by denying ourselves or the work we might try to do in order to loose and bind by our actions, and we do it in Jesus’ Name. When we do this, we can be assured that God will honor our request because the scriptures say that whatever we bind and loose on earth will be bound or loosed in heaven.

Our assurance comes from the scriptures that tell us numerous times, especially in the book of St. John by Jesus Christ, that whatever we ask the Father in Jesus’ Name He will do it.

If you want to be a successful Christian then you need to loose and bind. It’s a scriptural principle that all Christians should be using for themselves and over the lives of others.

Matthew 16:19 (KJV) And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Matthew 16:24 (KJV) “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

The first step to loosing and binding is to deny yourself and take up the cross of Jesus Christ. You can only loose and bind when you do it in Christ’s work on the cross rather than your work or labor. This may seem like a simple direction to follow, but most Christians become confused and slip into their own work.

For example, when Christians try to bind those things which come against them, they pray about their situation, but then they stress and worry that things aren’t going to work out for them. This is not binding according to scripture. This is operating in your work, not Christ’s.

When you loose and bind, you must enter the rest of Jesus Christ. This means that when you bind something such as financial difficulty, you have to rest in Christ while you do it. You have to be at peace and stay open to God for any guidance while you’re trusting Him for taking care of your problem. No worry, no fear, no doubt! You believe God’s Word and rest in peace!

When you loose something according to scripture such as freedom from debt, healing, a home, car etc., you just rest in Christ, believing that you have received. You’ll know if you’re not in faith when you find that you’re working hard to make it happen yourself and become discouraged. With loosing and binding you must give the burden of worry and fear to Christ and rest in your soul as Jesus said to do in Matthew 11:29.

Matthew 11:29, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls,”

The hardest work you must do is rest your soul and be at peace in Jesus Christ. He can give you rest because He already took care of your problems for you when He died on the cross and was resurrected. So you must train yourself to relax and not have stress or anxiety.

Take A Little Time To Practice “The Faith”

There’s only one “The Faith.” Having faith in Jesus Christ to live your salvation through Him is the faith you need to fulfill your best life and to fulfill your life purpose. Learning to rest in Christ by looking to Him as the means by which God will bless you instead of anything you can do on your own is essential if you’re ever going to work with God to fulfill His plans and purposes for you.

If you take a little time each day to practice using this principle, you’ll eventually get to a place of having mountain moving faith.

Here’s what I did when I first began using this principle:

I made a list of things I needed that were small and another list of the small problems in my life that were a bother but not too large. I did this because I didn’t have a lot of faith built up at the time of my learning this principle, so I wanted to start small in order to have success.

I would take the easiest problems and needs first to practice. Then when I received what I wanted, I cross that item off my list but left it to help me see that God was working on my behalf. It also helped to build my faith so that later in my life when I needed something large to either loose or bind, I would be able to handle it with strong faith.

You can do this too. It’s a great way to grow closer to God, grow your faith and look to Jesus as you believe for the Holy Spirit to guide you into God’s greatest blessings. So take your authority to bind and loose in your life today.
