No Shame! Only Power Review
By Margaret LukasikVal Newton Knowles, the author of the new book, No Shame Only Power, is a doer of the Word who walks in the brilliance of God's power and ability. Working with her has been a delight! I knew before I had read her book that it was going to be a great source of spiritual growth for all Christians, and I was right! Once I began the first few pages I was more impressed with Val and the information her beautiful writing reveals about God's Word.
Val lays it all out for new Christians or Christians new to the Word to easily meet God where they are in their lives today by dividing her book into three parts that goes from the beginning of Creation to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ at Calvary. She takes us through His suffering and dark loneliness from His spiritual separation with the Father and the immense sacrifice He made for each of us.
Words can't describe the deep gratefulness I experienced as I completed reading this first section of the book. But Val takes us beyond our feelings and into the deepness and truth of God's Word and love for each of us in the next section of her book that deals with the victory and power we have in Christ. Val's loving nature reaches out and teaches the importance of taking responsibility for change and renewal in order to make the scriptures come alive in our lives. Her instruction is clearly stated with scripture throughout each chapter for a convenient comparison of her writing and God's Word.
Progressing to the last section we learn about the power we have by living the Word daily to succeed in life. Through Jesus Christ, Who is the Word, we are able to make the changes we need by His strength and we are able to overcome all the struggles and difficulties that Satan has put upon the world. While we are never free from problems, No Shame Only Power shares the truth that God will use them to strengthen our characters and give us the mind of Christ by trusting Him in faith.
I highly recommend Val Newton Knowles book, No Shame Only Power to all Christians who desire to know God's heart and want to progress in their salvation to live His will for their lives.
